From The Marginlands
A note on the why of a new podcast, launching March 17
Two years ago, Arati Kumar-Rao (Instagram) had published the much-acclaimed book Marginlands, a compilation of her various explorations into distressed landscapes around the country.
From The Marginlands, a fortnightly podcast that Arati will be hosting alongside journalist and editor Prem Panicker (X), will build on that work and take it forward. The podcast is planned as a deep dive into the environment, into climate-change, and into related issues. Below, a brief video where we talk of why we are doing this:
As Arati mentioned in the intro, this is a participatory exercise — we are as interested in hearing from you as, we hope, you are interested in hearing from us. So write in, please, with advice, suggestions, criticisms and, most importantly, your own personal experiences of living in a warming world, and links to what you are reading and listeing to on these subjects.
